Ventura, Calif. - The Cypress College softball continued to roll towards the playoffs with a four game non-conference sweep over four different schools at host Ventura College over the weekend.

The Chargers shut out three of four opponents beginning with a 4-0 win victory over Long Beach City College in their opener. In the second game on Saturday, Cypress blew out Oxnard College 17-0 in a mercy shortened contest.

In the third game of the weekend, Reedley College gave the Chargers their best game in awhile, but weren't able to pull out a victory against the Orange Empire Conference leaders in a 5-4 Cypress victory.

The last game of the weekend finished just like the first two, as Cypress cruised to a 10-0 win over Ventura College on its own field.

The Chargers get back into conference play when they travel to Riverside to close out their season series with the Tigers.
